1. Tell About Yourself

Tip to Answer: This will be normally the first question from any recruiter to guess your communication, family background, education etc. For this question don’t take much time to explain the basic details that are already available in your CV. Try to give some additional points like your strengths, example to prove your leadership capabilities, your fit for the job, your passion towards the job etc, which can attract you towards the recruiter.

2. What is your strength?

Tip to Answer: This will be asked to know about your strengths. For this don’t just give abuse or awkward or usual points like I am a dedicated person or I will work hard etc. Just try to describe your uniqueness in specific activities and try to give some examples for the same. Strength related to leadership will give an added advantage.

3. What is your weakness?

Tip to Answer: This will be asked to know whether you had analyzed yourself. Normally people will tell some positive as negative for weakness. You can also do the same. Or you can also tell some of your previous weakness which you had corrected later or how you are utilizing your weakness in a positive manner. This will give good impression on you. But don’t tell “I don’t have any weakness”.

4. Describe about a story or some remarkable things in your life

Tip to Answer: This question will be often asked in call center interview to check your communication. Normally telling a story or about some incidents in English will be quite difficult unless otherwise you are familiar in it. To answer it well, practice to speak in English often and try to take story which you are confident enough to narrate.

5. What is your hobby?

Tip to Answer: For this, don’t say something newly which is not mentioned in your resume. Also be confident about the hobbies shown. For example, if you had displayed book reading as your hobby, you might be asked with what kind of books you normally study? So be prepared to answer those questions.

6. Tell about the company?

Tip to Answer: Normally you will be asked about the company for which you are attending the Interview. So study well about the company from websites before you attend the Interview. Especially be thorough with the types of services the company is rendering, its policy, organization structure, recent awards, its rank in the Indian or global market etc.

7. Who is your role model?

Tip to Answer: Usually when this type of question is being asked, don’t say like “my mother, father or uncle etc”. Try to give some famous person in the same field of yours and some valid points for why you admire him the most. It will be an added advantage if you relate him with you through some common points.

8. What is your dream company?

Tip to Answer: For this type of question normally one will answer saying the name of the company in which they are attending the Interview. You can answer like “All the companies where I can implement my learned skill to develop the company as well as me” or say some 4 to 5 company names apart from that company name. This will have a good impact.

9. Why the company has to recruit you?

Tip to Answer: For this try to give some of your strengths or display the matching criteria of your personality and the job requirements in the company. Also try to add up your USP here, which will have a good impact.

10. What is your salary expectation?

Tip to Answer: While negotiation of salary you can negotiate based on your confidence and experience. But be sure about the maximum salary being offered for the position by the company. Because there are chances for you to get reject due to the high expectation on salary.
