Step 1 - Contact Details:

Place your contact details with Name, Mobile No., E-Mail ID, Current address etc. This could be in the extreme top of the page or at the extreme end of the resume.

Step 2 – Summary and Objectives:

Give summary about yourself in just 3 to 4 lines stating your strength, working capability, USP etc in such a way that it attracts the reader.

Objective will be normally used by experienced persons where they can display, what kind of positions they are looking for. For example a 4 year experienced person can state that he looks only for Managerial positions.

Step 3 – Educational details:

If fresher, give your education details with school or college name, degree, percentage and year passed out, from SSLC. If experienced, educational details can be placed after work experience and only degree details are enough.

Step 4 - Skills:

If fresher: Can display the IT or Technology skills, or even some other specific skills that you posses or your subject based skills etc.

If experience: Can display your key skills in your work experience so far.

Step 5 – Work Experience:

Display the work experience with Period, Company, Designation and Job profile. The Job profile must hold your roles and responsibilities in the company with details.

Note: This is not needed for fresher.

Step 6 – Project Details:

If fresher: Give your project details in UG and PG with Project Title, Developed technology, project description etc.

If experienced: Give the details of the project developed at your company as well as your academic project.

Note: This is not needed for experienced other than in IT field

Step 7 – Extra and Co curricular activities:

Show some of your extracurricular or co curricular activities that you might have done or participated at school or college days. Displaying something which shows your leadership skill will be an added advantage.

Note: This is not needed for experienced
